Markeeta has nursing running through her veins. In 3rd Grade she new that she wanted to be a Nurse Practitioner and care for people in their time of need. There hasn’t been a day pass since that time that she has veered from that path.
For more than 20 years she has been providing care as a nurse and Nurse Practitioner. Her experience spans almost every range of care. She has provided care for critically ill people in hospitals and emergency rooms, carefully watched over infants in NICU, and a sub-specialty in women’s care. This diversity of experience gives her a unique perspective on how to care for each and every patient she sees.
Markeeta’s focused passion lies in Cardiac and women’s care. On a daily basis she helps her patients improve their cardiac wellness by actively managing their unique genetic, environmental, and lifestyle risk factors. Patients under her care receive individualized programs to help them resolve issues with improper eating and diet, smoking, sedentary lifestyles and behavioral modification. Additionally, she focuses her clinic for women on prevention or early detection of cervical and breast cancer.
